Dove Equipment has locations in Illinois and the Mexican states of Nuevo León, Puebla and Querétaro.
Founded in 1967 and incorporated in 1969, Dove started as a supplier to Caterpillar and John Deere. (Both heavy equipment manufacturers were based in Illinois: Caterpillar in Peoria and John Deere in Moline.)
Dove Equipment changed hands in 1980 when Vern Winemiller sold it to Barker-Rockford Company. Barker and Dove became employee-owned in 2000, when participants in a joint employee stock ownership program purchased all outstanding stock.
Over time, Dove shifted its focus from lubrication systems to industrial painting equipment, while still offering sealants, adhesives, and lubricants.
Dove joined the ICAFe Companies family in 2014 with the approval of Dove Employee Stock Ownership Plan participants. The acquisition expanded ICAFe’s presence in Illinois and opened new opportunities in Mexico, where Dove serves major automakers like Ford, Honda, and Volkswagen.
Dove Equipment has a strong in-house engineering team that designs, installs, and supports advanced systems worldwide. Expertise in both the United States and Mexico includes automating and integrating robotics into finishing processes.
